What is OPERATION IDENTIFICATION?
Operation Identification is closely related to Neighborhood Watch and is nationally recognized as a theft-prevention program which allows police to detect, identify, and RETURN stolen property to its rightful owner – fast and reliably. It is applicable anywhere theft may take place such as homes, businesses, and schools. You may view our list of important links to law enforcement organizations and affiliates to see just how important and legitimate this program really is.

Why INVIS-ID?
INVIS-ID is an alternative to engraving and has been optimized for use with the Operation Identification program. Many people are reluctant to engrave their valuables and therefore don’t participate in the Operation Identification Program. INVIS-ID is your best alternative option in terms of cost, performance, and ease-of-use.

How does INVIS-ID work?
A specially formulated ink which is invisible under ordinary light, is used to mark valuables with unique identification. The marking is visible only under ultraviolet light which is deceptive to thieves.

Why should I purchase?
Consider the options: Rely on serial numbers which must be recorded, are visible, and easily removed. Rely on defacing your valuables with an engraver which again, is visible and therefore easily removed (sanded/filed). Additionally, engraving is time consuming, unsightly, and reduces resale value. Engraving is also limited in the variety of materials and items can be marked. As a result, many people don’t participate in the Operation Identification program because they are reluctant to engrave their valuables. INVIS-ID is versatile, quick and easy to use, while deceptive to thieves.

Is INVIS-ID really supported by law enforcement?
Yes. Law enforcement highly recommends marking your valuables with identification for proof of ownership and traceability. Our company is working closely with law enforcement agencies to position INVIS-ID as an accepted standard.

Why is INVIS-ID better than competing products?
It comes down to cost vs. value. INVIS-ID has the best cost/performance benefit. INVIS-ID is simple, yet reliable. INVIS-ID is just as reliable as engraving, but without the disadvantages and headaches of engraving. Our proprietary invisible ink blend is permanent and durable. Unlike other “invisible” inks it will not rapidly fade from sunlight on outdoor equipment. It is also rub-resistant, weatherproof, and is not removable unless sanding or harsh solvents are used which will leave evidence of theft and affect resale value. If it's not visible, chances are, there will be no attempts at removal.

How exactly does law enforcement search for an invisible ID mark?
If suspect items are found, police may use a portable ultraviolet lights to scan these items. Police UV lights are commonly used in forensics. Conceptek is distributing an industrial strength UV flashlight to law enforcement agencies to use in their property rooms and to support the INVIS-ID solution.

What if a thief used a UV light to find and attempt removal of the ID mark?
Chances are, your valuables will end up in local pawn shops or in the hands of police before thieves took the time to scan them with UV light. Once theft is reported, police would be on the look out for your valuables including working closely with pawn shops, a routine process. Displaying Operation Identification decals on doors and windows is a proven theft deterrent.

Is the ink really permanent?
Yes. The ink is as permanent as any other indelible ink. The only difference is, it’s invisible. Unlike other “invisible inks” our ink is formulated for durability - including fade resistance, water proof, and smudge proof.

Can INVIS-ID be used as a toy or novelty?
No. INVIS-ID is not a toy. We do not recommend this due to the potential hazards of product misuse. INVIS-ID has one purpose, and that is, to mark property and aid in the recovery of lost or stolen valuables. The UV light is not safe to stare at and is therefore not recommended for children. The ink contains mild solvents and is not intended for use on the skin. Children may help with marking items under ADULT SUPERVISION.

Can INVIS-ID guarantee my items will be recovered?
No. Can a security system guarantee your home or car won’t be broken into? INVIS-ID is an additional layer of protection. The more layers, the better.
